Responsible play#

Afterlife is a working MVP Mainnet Beta with real-value play and capped USDC payouts. Its brand speaks directly about abandoned positions and risk; the product must be equally direct about the limits of play.

Current operating boundaries#

  • The interface displays 18+.
  • A Mainnet Beta player must verify the wallet that will receive any payout.
  • Converted value carries a 1× wagering target before payout.
  • The total bet is limited to 0.10–1.00 credit per paid spin.
  • Mainnet cash-out is capped at $10 per request, per wallet per day, and over the wallet's lifetime in the current beta.
  • Platform payout is capped at $50 per UTC day.
  • A real-value spin is accepted only when reserve and maximum-exposure controls pass.
  • The demo at test.afterlife.bet uses fixture assets and simulation-only credits.

These controls bound the current beta; they do not make gambling risk-free.

What players should understand#

  • Slot outcomes are random. A 92% RTP target is a long-run mathematical expectation, not a promise for a wallet, session, day, or player.
  • Continuing to play does not improve entitlement to win and cannot recover prior losses.
  • A near miss, recent loss, win streak, personalized wallet symbol, or jackpot state does not predict the next result.
  • Recycled liquidity should be treated as real value once recovered. Its origin in an abandoned position does not make it free money.
  • Future higher-risk destinations—such as new tokens or leveraged macro exposure—must be explicit opt-in products with separate risk, suitability, and loss-limit controls. They are not part of the current slot flow.
  • The Lose to Earn concept does not turn loss into yield, cash back, or a saleable asset.

Practical guidance#

  • Decide a time and value limit before starting.
  • Review the ledger and onchain transactions rather than relying on memory.
  • Treat a wallet signature as a real financial action and verify the complete mint, amount, action, and destination.
  • Stop if play creates stress, secrecy, conflict, or pressure to recover a loss.
  • Never borrow or use essential funds to continue playing.

If gambling or gambling-like play is causing harm, step away and seek support from a trusted person or a qualified local service. Emergency or crisis concerns should go to local emergency services.

Current product controls and next expansion controls#

The Mainnet Beta currently relies on hard financial caps, wagering eligibility, reserve enforcement, 18+ messaging, server-side history, and emergency pause controls. It does not claim player-configurable self-exclusion, configurable deposit/loss/time limits, geolocation, or automatic risk intervention.

Before expanding the beta's audience, destinations, or financial limits, Afterlife should add:

  1. supported-location and age eligibility rules;
  2. wallet-linked cooling-off and self-exclusion;
  3. configurable conversion, loss, and time limits enforced server-side;
  4. reality checks and clear net-position/time displays;
  5. a documented support and complaints path;
  6. vetted help resources for each supported location; and
  7. interaction testing that avoids “found money,” loss-recovery, or pressure-based dark patterns.

The platform thesis is that recovery creates a high-intent activation moment for users and partners. That moment must be used with transparent choice, not exploited to make risk feel consequence-free.
