92% regular RTP#

Status: active in the MVP Mainnet Beta and demo.

The regular Afterlife game targets 92% return to player over the long run. This target covers all payouts produced by the regular slot engine:

  • ordinary line wins;
  • 2× line wins during free spins;
  • the fixed Mini, Major, or Grand jackpot wheel;
  • Collect 12 prizes; and
  • application of the 2,000× regular maximum.

It does not include the shared simulation progressive, which has a separate 2% funding allocation.

Payout calculation#

For a regular line win:

line payout=base multiplier×18.28×total bet20×m\text{line payout}=\text{base multiplier}\times18.28\times\frac{\text{total bet}}{20}\times m

The feature multiplier m is 1 for the paid base result and 2 for a free-spin result. All line and fixed-feature payouts from the paid spin and its free spins are added before the regular maximum is applied.

The exact scaled line values appear in Paylines and symbols.

What the target does and does not mean#

RTP is an expected payout ratio across a very large number of wagers under a fixed configuration:

RTP^=total settled regular payoutstotal paid wagers\widehat{\operatorname{RTP}}=\frac{\text{total settled regular payouts}}{\text{total paid wagers}}

It is not a promise that a player, wallet, session, day, or finite sample will receive 92% back. Short-term results can be far above or below the target.

Current regression evidence#

The repository runs 100,000 deterministic regular-game spins with the persistent collection meter carried between spins. The test requires observed RTP to remain above 90% and below 94%, bracketing the approved 92% target.

That regression helps detect material engine changes. It is not:

  • an exact analytical proof of 92%;
  • an independent mathematical certification;
  • evidence that a deployment matches the reviewed source; or
  • a player-verifiable fairness proof.

The current paytable scale is 18.28. Any change to symbol weights, paytable values, feature rules, free spins, tier weights, flooring, or the maximum can change RTP and requires the math and tests to be recalculated.

Simulation versus mainnet beta#

  • Simulation: 92% regular target plus the 2% progressive allocation gives a 94% combined target.
  • Mainnet beta: the progressive is disabled, so the documented target is the 92% regular game only.
