Glossary#

Afterlife progressive#

The shared simulation-only progressive jackpot. Paid simulation spins allocate 1.5% to its visible meter and 0.5% to its reset reserve.

Acquisition channel#

The recovery moment as a distribution entry point for a game, investment product, partner campaign, or other crypto experience. “Near-zero-cost” describes Afterlife's channel thesis and low incremental activation cost, not a measured claim that customer acquisition cost is literally zero.

Bet per line#

The total paid bet divided equally across all 20 active paylines.

Burn#

An irreversible Solana token-program instruction that destroys a token amount. Afterlife's beta burn path targets the full raw balance of a selected eligible account.

Close account#

An instruction that removes an empty token account and transfers its rent lamports to a specified destination. In the beta flow, that destination is the configured Afterlife treasury.

Collect 12#

A persistent feature meter. Every visible BONUS symbol adds one point; reaching 12 awards a weighted 3×, 8×, or 25× total-bet prize and rolls over surplus points.

Commitment and reveal#

A planned fairness technique in which the server publishes a cryptographic commitment before play and later reveals the secret so historical results can be reproduced.

Credit#

The server-ledger unit used for balance, bets, and payouts. In the demo it is simulated. In Mainnet Beta it can originate from reconciled real-asset conversion and, within current wagering and payout caps, support USDC cash-out.

DEAD#

A classification. In simulation it is a fixture status. On mainnet it means an eligible classic fungible SPL position is below 1.00 USD or lacks a reliable market value and can be burned and closed by the wallet. Execution still requires every active asset, authority, price, treasury, pause, and runtime check plus the wallet's transaction signature.

Distribution destination#

The product or market opportunity a user explicitly chooses for recycled liquidity—for example the current slot, a future partner game, new-token basket, or macro position.

Environment#

The isolated session mode: currently simulation or mainnet-beta.

Finalized#

The strongest Solana commitment used by the MVP before mainnet credit. It does not replace Afterlife's additional account and balance reconciliation.

Fixed jackpot#

The Mini, Major, or Grand feature triggered by five SCATTERs. It is part of the regular game and differs from the shared progressive.

Lamport#

The smallest unit of SOL. One SOL equals 1,000,000,000 lamports.

Lose to Earn#

A future governance concept that could convert capped epoch net losses into non-transferable, decaying participation weight from a fixed pool. It is not a current reward.

Mainnet Beta#

The working production stage that verifies public Solana wallets, converts qualifying classic SPL positions through burn-and-close or Jupiter swap transactions, runs real-value slot play, and pays capped winnings in USDC.

Max win#

The 2,000× total-bet cap applied to the regular outcome. The simulation progressive is added outside it.

Nonce#

A planned monotonic counter used with server and client seeds to derive a distinct, reproducible random transcript for each spin.

Payline#

One of 20 fixed paths across the 5×3 grid. Regular wins begin on reel 1 and continue left to right.

Player-verifiably provably fair#

A system in which a player can independently reproduce an outcome from published commitments, later revelations, seeds, nonces, and a specified algorithm. The current MVP does not meet this definition.

Progressive reserve#

The accounting balance that receives 0.5% of each paid simulation bet and funds the progressive's 2,500-credit reset.

Reconciliation#

The post-finalization checks that confirm selected accounts disappeared, measure treasury rent received and fees paid, obtain settlement pricing, and only then issue mainnet credit.

Request ID#

A client-supplied identifier used with a session to return an already stored mutation result instead of intentionally applying the same request twice.

RTP#

Return to player: the long-run expected payout divided by wagers for a specified game configuration. It is not a guarantee for a player or session.

Recycled liquidity#

Value made usable through an Afterlife conversion rather than remaining stranded in an abandoned or ignored wallet position.

SELLABLE#

A classification for an eligible classic fungible SPL position worth at least 1.00 USD with current independent price evidence and an acceptable live Jupiter route. The Mainnet Beta can execute the wallet-signed exact-in swap and credit reconciled USDC output.

Server-authoritative#

The server validates inputs, generates the random outcome, calculates features and payout, and settles the ledger. The browser displays the stored result.

Session revision#

A monotonically increasing server value used to reject overlapping balance mutations based on stale session state.

Simulation#

The fixture-based demo at test.afterlife.bet. No real asset or fund moves.

Token-2022#

A newer Solana token program. Its accounts are discovered but excluded from the current Afterlife conversion path.

UNSUPPORTED#

A position that the current mainnet MVP will not act on because of program, asset kind, state, authority, routing, or explicit exclusion rules.

Wallet graveyard#

Afterlife's term for the abandoned, distressed, or forgotten token positions that remain in a wallet.

Wagering target#

The accumulated amount a session must wager before payout. New converted credit and demo daily gifts add a 1× target; spin winnings do not add another target.
